Uploading Data Warnings

The program is intelligent enough to realize when the data uploaded is missing something that should be there or when your search appears incorrect. When this happens you’ll see a warning on the Upload Export File step. This warning does not mean the data won’t work, but rather it’s telling you that it looks non-standard which is more often prone to error. Below are the warnings, their meanings and how you could improve or fix the error.

NUMBERS_BINARY_FORMAT

This file appears to have been opened and resaved in Apple Numbers, which converted it to a Numbers format that cannot be read. Please re-export the file directly from your MLS system and upload it without opening it in Numbers.

MISSING_STATUS

The 'Status' field was not found in the file. This usually indicates that the wrong MLS profile was selected or the file export contains incorrect headers. Please check your MLS choice is correct. If it’s correct please re-perform your MLS export setup steps. If it’s still an error reach out to support@focus1st.com as your MLS may have changed settings.

MISSING_DOM

The data fields included did not include the fields to determine the Days on Market (DOM). This may affect the accuracy of some report graphs. Please check your MLS choice is correct. If it’s correct please re-perform your MLS export setup steps. If it’s still an error reach out to support@focus1st.com as your MLS may have changed settings.

MISSING_SQFT

No Square Footage data was found in any of the mapped fields (Total, Finished, or Above Grade). Pricing based on Square Foot graphs will not be available. Please check your MLS choice is correct. If it’s correct please re-perform your MLS export setup steps. If it’s still an error reach out to support@focus1st.com as your MLS may have changed settings.

LOW_RECORD_COUNT

The file contains very few records. This might result in a less reliable market analysis. This error usually occurs because the search is being limited greater than the recommended data search. Check you search follows the guidelines on your Search Recommendations and is not being constrained more than is prescribed. In particular check you’re not doing ± 10% square feet or failing to include all Status Activity. (There are cases when you don’t have many sales or are in a slower time that this may just be the case, but always check your search to see which is the case.)

LOW_CLOSED_COUNT

The file contains too few 'Closed' data. Sold graphs will not be available in the report. This error usually occurs because the search is being limited greater than the recommended data search. Check you search follows the guidelines on your Search Recommendations and is not being constrained more than is prescribed. In particular verify that you’re selecting sold status to be included.

MISSING_UC_DATE

The 'Under Contract Date' was not found in your file. The report will fall back to using 'Days on Market' or 'Time to Close' based on your settings. This usually indicates that the wrong MLS profile was selected or the file export contains incorrect headers. Please check your MLS choice is correct. If it’s correct please re-perform your MLS export setup steps. If it’s still an error reach out to support@focus1st.com as your MLS may have changed settings. There are some MLS however that don’t include this Status so if that’s yours, then this will not affect your reporting.

SHORT_DATE_RANGE

The uploaded data covers less than 12 months of sold history. For the most accurate market analysis, a full year of data is recommended. This error usually occurs because the search is being limited greater than the recommended data search. Check you search follows the guidelines on your Search Recommendations and is not being constrained more than is prescribed. In particular check you’re not limiting the date range in this case.

MISSING_WITH_EXP

No Withdrawn or Expired listings were found. Including these statuses in your MLS export provides a more accurate market analysis of unsuccessful listings. his error usually occurs because the search is being limited greater than the recommended data search. Check you search follows the guidelines on your Search Recommendations and is not being constrained more than is prescribed. In particular verify that you’re selecting Withdrawn or Expired status to be included.

MISSING_LAT_LONG

No Latitude/Longitude data was found in your export file. The mapping function will be limited to displaying a maximum of 15 properties. To show all properties on the map, re-export your file with latitude and longitude fields included. This error shows only if your MLS Export Setup doesn’t include the coordinate field. Please re-perform your MLS export setup steps and try again. If it’s still an error reach out to support@focus1st.com as your MLS may have changed settings.
